Open or inspect the AGI Cockpit right side panel for a task. When --task-id is omitted, Cockpit resolves the current task from the session context.

Notes:

• cockpit side-panel browser shows the task's session of its primary Browser Identity. When the task has several Identities, add --browser-identity <name|id> (or use cockpit browser show --browser-identity <name|id>) to show that Identity's session instead, without changing the assignment. An Identity that is not assigned to the task is rejected.
• cockpit side-panel file opens the requested path directly without waiting for the project tree. Use cockpit side-panel explorer --file when the Explorer tree is needed.
• cockpit side-panel file --line <n> opens Raw mode by default, scrolls to and highlights one line. An explicit --mode preview keeps Preview; switching to Raw then reveals the requested line. Add --end-line <n> to highlight an inclusive range; --end-line must be greater than or equal to --line.
• cockpit side-panel artifact opens the Creative Studio artifact review panel (3D model or picture book review). It only works for Creative Studio tasks; --artifact and --version accept ids or latest.
• cockpit side-panel talk [roomId] opens the Talk Room conversation view (latest or omitted = most recently active room, list = room list). See cockpit help talk.
• cockpit side-panel child-tasks [childTaskId] opens the current task's active child tasks. Pass the child task id positionally or with --child-task-id; use --task-id to specify the parent task when there is no current task context.
• cockpit side-panel ask opens the Ask tab, which lists every open Ask on this device and answers or closes them with the same choices, free-form input, per-question and whole answers, attachments, and media as the Ask window. It is where to answer when notifications.askWindow is false. Pending secure input requests from cockpit secret request are listed there too, for entering the value; they are not Asks. • The Browser panel always shows the current Browser Identity name and color. Switching it changes the task assignment and opens that Identity's isolated persistent partition.
• Prefer the side panel whenever a result is visual — a UI change, a diff review, a generated image, a report page.

Successful agent display requests leave a compact card in the task chat on Desktop and PWA. The card records the resolved target on this host and validates its host/task reference when opened; no prose link is needed. Desktop reopens the matching side panel. PWA opens that target in its existing task panel when the user taps the card, without switching away from a document on arrival. Closing the panel preserves the chat position and draft.

HTML cards refer to the saved Surface ID. Files and diffs show current content; Browser cards refer to the same host Identity, session, and tab, not a URL opened in the phone's browser. Deleted or unavailable targets report an error instead of opening another target. Display success means the host accepted the request, not that every device rendered it. Existing HTML unread notices are unchanged. Closing, resizing, manual panel selection, and reopening a card do not create another card. A transport retry reuses the operation ID; a new invocation can intentionally present the same target again.

HTML surfaces can opt into isolated local JavaScript with <meta name="cockpit-scripts" content="isolated"> on Desktop and PWA. External communication stays blocked and only explicit user actions can send bounded messages to the owning task. See cockpit help html for the example and restrictions.
